I can Hear the Sun by Xiao Bo Zhu

Fondo is an orphan. He likes sitting by the lake and watching the geese. Michele, who takes care of the geese sees him always playing with them. She later lets him help her to feed the geese. They both love the little blind goose. When winter apporaches, the geese prepare to take flight to the south. They leave, not returning until next year. Both Fondo and Michele miss the geese.
